Ian Ellis Classic Alfas
|Classic Alfa Romeos For Sale||24th September 2017|
1975 Alfa Spider 2000 Veloce RHD'75 Spider in Pinifarina red with black Alfatex interior. 55,000 miles. Original UK supplied RHD car. Little history with the car unfortunately but it has been looked after by us for the last couple of years & work has included a brake system overhaul, Koni dampers, new carb mounts, 123 distributor & original style Michelin XAS tyres all round. The bodywork is in good shape, though the paint is a little tired & there is some bubbling on one front wing corresponding to a repair panel having been fitted (possibly where the outer sill has been replaced). Drives very nicely indeed - gearbox & transmission are all problem-free. Recent MOT
Getting hard to find now!
1970 GT Junior 'Step-front'1970 GT Junior 1300 'scalino' in yellow ochre in superb condition having been imported from South Africa some time ago (it is UK registered), showing 54,000 miles with a 1750 engine fitted.
This is a Series 2 Junior with arguably the nicest combination of step-nose front end, and 1750-style dashboard. The interior is in beautiful condition with only one small nick to the dash.
Rare to find one of these Juniors in this kind of condition that hasn't been converted to a GTA replica!
1972 Giulia Super 1300 RHDEx - South African car, imported in to the UK about 2 years ago, now UK registered & road tax exempt, in blue with black interior. Good, solid condition with the odd knock & dent here & there, a bit of bubbling at the bottom of each front door and some chrome in need of re-plating - a good project car. We have looked after this car since the last owner purchased it from the importer, fitting replacement brake servos, master cylinder, head gasket etc The car rides on original style new Pirelli Cinturato tyres in the correct profile.
MOT until May 2018
The popularity of these wonderful saloons (think chasing Minis through Turin in 'The Italian Job') is soaring & with so few RHD models available, demand outstrips supply!
1966 Giulia Ti 'hotrod'1966 LHD Giulia Ti in grigio grafiti (graphite grey) - a remarkably solid car, despite its patinated finish, having been imported from Italy a few years ago.
Originally a 1300 single-carburettored car, it has been transformed into a flying hotrod with a tuned 1750 engine, Alfaholics handling kit, Koni dampers, adjustable camber, 15" GTA alloys with Toyo 195/55 tyres and large 4-pot vented front brakes.
The engine has oversized forged pistons taking the capacity up to nearly 1.9, forged condos, lightweight aluminium flywheel & fully balanced bottom end, a ported head with special cams & tubular manifold means the engine produces close to 150bhp while beautifully rebuilt Weber 40 DCOEs & 123 electronic distributor means the engine pulls strongly from very low revs & is totally tractable. One of the nicest, torquey, free-revving engines we have built.
The interior of the car is in very original condition, finished in complimentary dark red Alfatex.
These saloons are rapidly becoming highly sought-after and this car is guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
1967 Duetto RHD Only 300 miles since total restoration!We restored this 1967 Alfa Romeo Duetto for a local customer during 2012-2014 from the ground up, starting with a media blasted bare shell. It was subject to a complete nut & bolt restoration and is now regrettably being put up for sale. It is presented in Pinifarina red with black interior & new mohair soft-top - the underside of the car is also finished in the same body colour over stone-chip. A totally rebuilt 1750 engine is fitted & is coupled to an Alfaholics stainless steel sports exhaust system. We converted it to a hydraulic clutch which gives a much nicer operation than the cable type. The twin Weber carbs have been overhauled & an electronic 123 distributor is fitted. The steering & suspension has been completely renewed with reconditioned steering box, all new ball joints, bushes, spring pans, springs, Koni dampers etc etc The seats have been retrimmed in black leather, and new original-style rubber floor mats have been fitted The wheels have been refurbished by Lepsons & the correct profile 155 Vredesten Sprint Classic tyres are fitted. The gearbox, propshaft & rear axle have all been overhauled. The whole braking system is new including servo. New headlights, radiator,fuel tank, badges, door handles, door cards, rubber seal, hoses, headlamp cowls, splash guards etc have all been fitted - this was a no-expense spared restoration which cost in excess of £50,000
Lancia Delta Integrale 2.0 16V Turbo 4WDMy own car for the last 18 months or so - this is a beautiful example of the road going version of the iconic World Rally Championship winning car & being a Japanese import it has no apparent rust anywhere! With only 110,000km (68,000 miles) on the clock, it is very original with adjustable suspension being the only upgrade. In the time I have owned it I have had the body repainted (the original paintwork was 'tired' being over 20 years old) with a glass-out respray in original 'nero metallizzato', had the headlining retrimmed in the original alcantara, had the original 15" alloys powder-coated & diamond cut & fitted with brand new Toyo Proxes. The cam belt has been changed in the last 3 years. It really needs to be seen to be appreciated.
